Welcome to Samarpan School of Yoga

Nestled on the sacred banks of Mother Ganga in the spiritual heart of the Himalayas, Rishikesh, the Samarpan School of Yoga is the Karma Bhumi of Avadhuta Sri Swami Samarpanananda Saraswati. Established under his divine vision, it has been declared the epicenter of the 21st-century Yogic Renaissance—a living center dedicated to preserving, practicing, and sharing the eternal wisdom of Sanatana Dharma with the world.

It was here, amidst the serene Himalayan landscape, that Sri Swami Samarpanananda received the profound inner revelation to fulfill the sacred mission of his Param Guru, Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati: to establish a global fellowship of Yoga and dedicate his life to the spiritual awakening and upliftment of humanity through the timeless teachings of Yoga, Vedanta, Tantra, and Kriya Yoga.

Rooted in the sacred Guru–Shishya Parampara, the Samarpan School of Yoga preserves the authentic spiritual heritage of the Himalayan masters while honouring the Advaita Vedanta tradition established by Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya. The School is committed to transmitting the highest ideals of non-duality, renunciation, self-realization, and liberation, while integrating the practical sciences of Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Tantra, Meditation, and classical Yogic philosophy into a complete path of transformation.

More than a yoga school, Samarpan is a traditional Gurukul and international spiritual community where seekers from around the world immerse themselves in authentic yogic living. Every program is designed not only to cultivate physical health and mental clarity but also to awaken inner consciousness, spiritual wisdom, and compassionate service to humanity.

Whether you aspire to become a certified yoga teacher, deepen your personal practice, explore the mystical traditions of Tantra and Vedanta, or embrace the yogic way of life, the Samarpan School of Yoga offers a transformative journey guided by authentic lineage and living experience.

Our vision is to inspire a global renaissance of consciousness by nurturing enlightened individuals who embody the timeless values of peace, compassion, self-discipline, wisdom, and selfless service. Through the transmission of the eternal knowledge of Sanatana Dharma, we strive to create a healthier, more harmonious, and spiritually awakened world.

Join us in the sacred Himalayas of Rishikesh and experience Yoga in its purest, most authentic, and transformative form—where ancient wisdom meets modern humanity, and where the journey from the self to the Supreme begins.

A true gem ! Peaceful, authentic, without pretension. I have been staying here for almost a month now and I loved every day of it. I couldn't put in words the way in which the atmosphere and the lifestyle here has deepened the quality of my sadhana.

I was completing a kundalini tantra yoga TTC in some commercial school down the road and wasn't too impressed with the teachings there.. I was thinking Rishikesh had just gone down the drain after so many years of increased tourism and commercialisation of Yoga. Luckily I decided to take a walk up this road into the mountain area to check out this Ashram. I found there everything I was hoping for and much more !

Here lives a true Yoga Guru, living the simple and austere yogic life. At this time, Guruji is performing intense sadhana and is observing Mauna. So I've had the chance to help out in the ways I can and to benefit from the vibes of his own practice.

The schedule here is very helpful to maintain a balance between yoga, meditation and karma yoga. Another big plus point is that the food served is truly Sattvic, simple, low salt, very little and simple spices, no onion, no garlic, no complicated mixes.. I lived in a few ashrams and monasteries, and never found a place that truly offered sattvic food like they do here..

I have also taken private classes with one of their teachers to cover the material that was skipped over in my previous kundalini tantra ttc.. and I really wish I had learned it all here from the beginning. Their teachings go way beyond the reference textbooks.. since Guruji's Guru is Swami Niranjananda Saraswati.. he learned directly from the source and has been practicing for over the last 30 years, developing and expending according to his own realizations.

I know very well this is not the kind of place most people are looking for. I has nothing to do with most of the now popular areas of Rishikesh. They will find it too quiet, too austere maybe. But this place is an expression of the true Spirit of Yoga..! I am so happy and grateful such place exist to carry the tradition and make it possible for people like me to experience it.
Hari Om, you beautiful people out there..
This is the perfect place for your Sadhana. I come to Rishikesh since many years and I am more than happy, to have stumbled across this place.
Now, if by any chance you are one of the fewer ones wanting to immerse themselves into genuine spiritual practice which involves being ejected out of one's comfort zone, then you have to stay for at least a couple of days with Swami Samarpan to truly feel and understand what gem this place actually is and what a rare find in this day and age.
If however you just want some fluffy 'all is good' and 'let's have some fun' surface polishing, for which you pay ridiculous amounts of money.. well, Swami Samarpan Ashram is definitely the wrong place for you.
To that effect I wish you a nurturing & profound time in Rishikesh.
Namaste

I never did get to visit the ashram, as my trip was cancelled due to Covid, however, I did meet with Swami in the USA and via Zoom for instruction. My experience has been transformative, enlightening, and has given my life a positive new direction. Swami is a true Master, possessing not only knowledge, but more importantly wisdom. He is driven and passionate in his approach, and practices and embodies what he teaches. From what I have seen and heard of the ashram, it seems like the perfect place to learn, being a quite, simple place surrounded by nature. I hope to visit in the future, perform some karma yoga and continue my study and practice.
Thank God for meeting Guru Swami Ji! Big heart of love and care! A real master! Under his leadership and observing his example, automatically all the best qualities are manifested in my mind. Great Yoga, real! Om Namah Shivaya! Om Om Om Shanthi Shanti

Experience Karma Yoga

Karma Yoga – The Foundation of Yogic Life

Karma Yoga is one of the most essential disciplines for anyone who sincerely wishes to progress on the path of Yoga. Without understanding and practicing Karma Yoga, higher yogic practices cannot be firmly established. Since it is an integral part of the traditional ashram lifestyle, Karma Yoga is included in all the courses offered at the Samarpan School of Yoga.

Karma Yoga teaches the art of transforming every action into a spiritual practice. Every task, whether great or small, becomes an opportunity for self-purification and inner awakening. Students actively participate in daily ashram activities such as washing dishes, gardening, cleaning rooms, sweeping floors, maintaining the ashram premises, and cleaning toilets. These are not considered ordinary chores but sacred acts of selfless service (Seva).

When work is performed with devotion, dedication, mindfulness, and complete selflessness—without attachment to personal gain—it gradually purifies the mind (Chitta Shuddhi). As the mind becomes purified, one develops inner peace, equanimity, humility, and the ability to remain balanced in all situations, whether favorable or unfavorable.

Karma Yoga is the foundation upon which the entire edifice of Yoga is built. It prepares the aspirant for meditation and the higher limbs of Yoga by reducing ego, attachment, likes and dislikes, and selfish desires.

According to the teachings of Yoga, the primary obstacle to Self-realization is the constant movement of the mind (Chitta Vrittis). Therefore, to understand the true goal of Yoga, one must first understand the nature of these mental modifications and learn how to observe, regulate, and ultimately master them. Through selfless action, awareness, and surrender, Karma Yoga gradually weakens the restless tendencies of the mind, making it fit for concentration, meditation, and ultimately Samadhi.

Thus, Karma Yoga is not merely a philosophy of service—it is a profound spiritual discipline that transforms daily life into a continuous practice of Yoga. Every action becomes an offering to the Divine, every duty becomes meditation in action, and every moment becomes an opportunity for inner transformation and liberation.

“Yogasthaḥ kuru karmāṇi”Established in Yoga, perform your actions.
Bhagavad Gita 2.48

This is the true spirit of Karma Yoga: to work selflessly, live consciously, and realize the Divine through every action.

Samarpan School of Yoga.

Dlatego, aby zrozumieć prawdziwy cel jogi, należy najpierw poznać naturę tych modyfikacji umysłu, nauczyć się je obserwować, kontrolować i ostatecznie całkowicie nad nimi zapanować. Poprzez bezinteresowne działanie, uważność i całkowite oddanie Boskości Karma Joga stopniowo uspokaja umysł, czyniąc go zdolnym do koncentracji, medytacji i ostatecznie osiągnięcia stanu Samadhi.

— Bhagawadgita 2.48

To jest prawdziwy duch Karma Jogi: działać bezinteresownie, żyć świadomie i doświadczać Boskości poprzez każde działanie.
